If you are using Apple macOS 11 “Big Sur” and a CadMouse (wired, launched in 2015), you will need to upgrade the device firmware to version 1.06. A firmware update tool is currently available but only for Microsoft Windows versions 8.1 and 10. If you have access to a Windows machine (a virtual Windows should be fine if the device connected directly to your computer).
You can check the firmware version using the “3Dconnexion” pane (“Tools” tab) in your Mac’s “System Preferences”.
The firmware update tool (3DxFlash) can be downloaded from here.
Please review the “Readme” document before installing and using the tool
IMPORTANT: you need to connect the device with the cable to be able to update the firmware the device.
Note: The CadMouse Wireless with firmware 1.06 does not work with driver versions 10.7.0 r3277 or lower. Please upgrade the 3Dconnexion driver to 3DxWareMac version 10.7.0 r3278 or newer – the one which is linked in the FAQ for macOS 11 “Big Sur”.
