3Dconnexion Adds Full Support for Kubotek Interoperability Programs

Kubotek3D Press Release

Norwalk, Connecticut, August 2021 – 3Dconnexion is proud to announce their certification of full support for their motion controller devices in the latest releases of the next-generation Kubotek interoperability programs.

Kubotek’s K-Compare and K-Display products were developed on top of the company’s proprietary Kosmos 3D framework, built for comprehensive data exchange between all the major CAD programs.

The four programs in these product families now in use by customers include K-Compare Revision, K-Compare Validate, K-Display Convert and, K-Display View. 3Dconnexion device support is now fully integrated into these programs.

“We have hundreds of KeyCreator customers that have been using the 3Dconnexion motion controllers every day, for decades,” John McCullough, marketing general manager at Kubotek3D. “This community strongly believes in the productivity advantages of being able to rotate the 3D model with one hand at the same time as moving the cursor with a traditional mouse in the other hand. When you watch how fast an expert is with this system, it’s easy to understand their popularity.”

These products are designed for engineers primarily in the aerospace industry who use Dassault CATIA, PTC Creo, Siemens NX, and SolidWorks CAD software.

“Today we are happy to have achieved a great SpaceMouse navigation within Kubotek programs for the benefit of our joint customers,” Antonio Pascucci, chief operating officer at 3Dconnexion. “We are grateful for this integration together, which with no doubt brings a better and more efficient workflow to all users of these important programs.”

Adding this support demonstrates Kubotek’s and 3Dconnexion’s commitment to making navigation through CAD data sets in these independent programs as familiar as possible for users of each of those CAD programs.
